There’s something timeless about it—the mix of history, coastal charm, and an easy rhythm that invites you to slow down. From the waterfront views to the quiet streets, it’s a place that feels both alive and deeply rooted.

For us, it wasn’t just another stop along the ICW—it was a place we could have stayed much longer. There’s something special about the atmosphere here—especially from a cruiser’s perspective. The mooring field is full of life, with boats from everywhere, and it’s easy to connect with other sailors and feel part of a community.

During the holidays, the town transforms with beautiful Christmas lights, creating a warm, almost magical feeling on and off the water. Add to that plenty to do ashore—walkable streets, activities, and family-friendly spots—and it becomes more than just a stop.

For us, it’s a place where cruising meets comfort, community, and a bit of celebration—somewhere we could return to again and again.
