Côte Est
Our journey began in New London, setting a southbound course through the sheltered waters of Long Island Sound toward New York City.
This first leg was a gentle introduction—protected waters, steady traffic, and the rhythm of coastal sailing beginning to take shape. Tides and currents guided our movement, while the shoreline shifted between quiet harbors and busy ports.
Approaching New York, the scale changed. The skyline rose ahead, and the journey suddenly felt real—marking the true beginning of our life aboard SV Bogumila.
